PROJECT DESCRIPTION

In addition to being a worrying issue citizens, road accidents are dangerous for stray animals. Many animals also get knocked out, especially during night times.

To help reduce the number of accidents, RCBI decided to continue the reflective collar drive project from the previous year. The team coordinated with Mrs. Aruna and Ms. Anchal of the Cunningham Road Dog Squad and walked around the street to collar dogs in the area. A total of 39 dogs were collared in Cunningham Road, Vasanth Nagar and the BWSSB campus on Race Course Road in the hope that this will enable drivers at night to see the dogs on the roads, and prevent significant injuries to these animals and also protect commuters at night.
