Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar

NAIL RIDDANCE DRIVE

PROJECT GOAL

To free trees from nails and staples, and raise awareness among people to avoid putting up advertisements & hoardings on trees.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

RCBI joined hands with “Friends of Wildlife”, an organisation that strives to work for the environment, to free the trees of Bengaluru from painful nails and staples, which often attracts advertisers to put up advertisements and hoardings on trees.

Along with the team from “Friends of Wildlife”, the Rotaractors grouped together at South End Circle early in the day and began plucking nails and removing flyers and posters from all the trees along the stretch of RV road, Bengaluru. After a tireless effort of three hours, a total of 300 nails were removed from the trees.

The Club is constantly focussing on improving the environment and making the city cleaner, greener, and happier for a better tomorrow. Kudos to ‘Friends of Wildlife’ for coming forth with this impactful initiative.
