Orientation Program on Rural Women's Hygiene and Sanitary Pads at Govt. Girls High School and College, Hosakote

The workshop at Hosakote organized by Block Education Officer Mr. V.C. Basavraje Gowda K.E.S. and supported by Manipal Foundation and Rotary Bangalore Indiranagar on Aug 23, 2011 to promote the use of Sanitary Pads amongst rural girl students was very successful. 87 heads of educational institutes and senior lady teachers had attended the program.

As a follow up an orientation program has been organized at Govt. Girls High School and Junior College, Hosakote which is expected to be attended by 1200 girl students along with school and college staff and officials of Education department.

In addition the Block Education Officer, the Deputy Director Public Instruction of Bangalore Rural District and few others from the Government are expected to attend.

As the audience is expected to be over 1000, there will be two sessions of about 600 each.

The orientation program details are-

Date - 6 September 2011
Time - 1st session - 10.30 to 11.45 a.m. and 2nd session 12 noon to 1.00 p.m.

The venue Government Girls High School, Hosakote.

Way to reach-Take Old Madras Road towards Hosakote - 25 k.m. You will reach Police Station and a road goes left towards Devanhalli. Do not turn left. Go straight and just across the road on left side is a playground of the school. Go in the first gate.

As this program is for educating girls, it would be nice if the Rotary Annes would come also. They could interact with girls and get feed back from them which would be useful for improving the project in future.
